The camp has been offered for the last 11 years, 2009 will mark the 12th year of Chester County Council Science Camp!  Scouts have the opportunity to earn up to 4 (four) science and technology related merit badges.  Each merit badge offered is presented by volunteer Adult Leaders who are well versed and passionate about the subject matter.

Do you as a boy scout enjoy a challenge?

Do you as a boy scout work well with others?

The merit badges offered are rotated on a multi-year cycle so a scout can come back year after year for a new and exciting challenge.

The scouts are arranged into Provisional Troops with a patrol hierarchy and provided with on site Adult Leaders who ensure a smooth and rewarding experience for the boys.

2009 will be our 7th year of Radio Camp as the scouts who sign up for this option can earn the Radio and Electronics merit badges and prepare for the Amateur Radio License Exam.  Scouts participating in Radio Camp construct a personal, low power radio transmitter / receiver they can take home,

The Camping Committee is currently planning SARMBC 2009, scheduled for June 28 to July 4, 2009.  Registered adult leaders and Junior Assistant Scoutmasters interested in helping that effort please visit the Volunteer Information page.

Chester County Council’s Science and Radio Merit Badge Camp provides that extra edge for a scout who is ready to earn merit badges he may normally not be exposed to in a home troop environment.  This is a week long, somewhat intense overnight camp experience in late June of the year.  This camp is recommended for a scout who has already attended at least one week long summer camp with their home troop, attained the rank of 2nd Class, and has been active in scouting for at least one year.
